The Flakoglost lads are about to depart for Detroit later this week, but that doesn't stop them from discussing some recent topics in American soccer. The Orlando City owner group are offering green cards to foreign investors in their new stadium while the city of Nashville could have a USL team soon. The New York Cosmos are top of the table in the NASL and the Colorado Rapids found another way to win as they stayed atop the MLS standings. Andrea Pirlo discusses his thoughts on soccer in America but his NYCFC team loses 7-0 to the NY Red Bulls. Detroit, here we come!

In our latest interview, we had a chance to have a conversation with The Soccer Heretic, as he is known on Twitter. While the main talking points centered around Promotion/Relegation in the United States, we also found time to discuss the NASL, Rayo OKC, Rayo Vallecano, the US Open Cup, and the idea of an open system of soccer. Kei Kamara is suspended by Columbus Crew, but is then promptly traded to New England Revolution. The New York Cosmos lose a close game in Canada while Minnesota United top the NASL table. In our latest interview, we had a conversation with Tyler Whitesides, a coach and former player with FC Denver, a semi professional/amateur club based in Denver, Colorado. FC Denver plays in CASL, the Colorado Amateur Soccer League. Tyler has been involved in the club for many years and we had the pleasure of interviewing him to not only learn more about FC Denver, but to continue to support grassroots soccer in Colorado.

In our latest interview, we had a conversation with Eric Morrison, the President and General Manager of NPSL side Georgia Revolution, a club based out of Conyers, Georgia. The team currently plays in the NPSL, the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid. Georgia Revolution are showing that local soccer can continue to grow in major metropolitan areas across the country.

We have successfully returned from America's heartland. It wasanabsolute blast to go to a Rayo OKC vs Indy Eleven game in theNASL.We were able to meet up with supporters of both Rayo and Indy andeven ran into Peter Wilt! The preliminary roster for the CopaCentenario has been released and Mix Diskerud was a surprisinginclusion. Finally, we were briefly able to speak with formerRapids player Kosuke Kimura and Club America has won the CONCACAFChampion's League for the second straight year.
