We're honored to chat with Jerome de Bontin the former General Manager of the New York Red Bulls and President of Ligue 1 side, AS Monaco in this episode. Jerome is currently involved with the United States Soccer Foundation as a trustee, which is separate from the Federation. He’s been involved in the game of soccer from early on while living in France, and throughout his college education at Amherst College where he also played.

We cover a lot of ground in this one, giving us lots to think about. We chat the Deloitte Report and promotion relegation, youth development and solidarity payments, and how we as a country can begin to leverage our own skills in order to create a soccer ecosystem that provides world class talent.

Also, please check out the non-profit charity, covenanthouse.org. Covenant House serves homeless youth with a network of shelters across the US. It’s a non-profit that is very important to Jerome.

Cheers.
